2025 Opening Service

Welcome to a new school year!

On Wednesday, 5th February, students, staff, special guests, and some of our parents and carers gathered in Luther Hall to officially commence the 2025 school year. This special service also marked a significant milestone for Victory Lutheran College as we welcomed our new principal, Mr Brad Moss, into our community. Alongside him, we also celebrated the installation of new staff members and our 2025 student leaders.

Within a packed Luther Hall, it was a powerful and unifying moment for our College to come together in worship. We were inspired by words of encouragement from both Scripture and our new Principal, Mr Moss, setting a positive tone for the year ahead.

We were honoured to have Pastor Joshua Muller from Wodonga Lutheran Parish and Mr Colin Minke, Executive Director of LEVNT (Lutheran Education Victoria, New South Wales & Tasmania), play a key role in Mr Moss’ installation.

As part of his installation, Mr Moss was presented with symbolic gifts: a Victory Lutheran College hat presented by College Vice Captains Tess Musgrave and Devika Rangubhatla; a candle by long-serving staff members Mr Jason Zweck and Mrs Kylie Schneider; and a Bible from our parent/carer community, presented by Mrs Sam Malpass. These gifts signified his official welcome into the Victory family.

Following the Opening Service, guests and parents/carers enjoyed a lovely morning tea over at St John’s Lutheran Church, hosted by the Wodonga Parish.

Our Opening Service is one of the rare occasions where our College comes together as one, showcasing the unique spirit of our community. The theme for the day, “Take it in,” encouraged everyone to embrace the learning and opportunities that 2025 will bring. Together, let us seize these moments and create a year of positive impact for our College community.
