2025 Secondary Swimming Carnival

The annual Secondary Swimming Carnival for Victory Lutheran College took place on Friday 7th February at the Albury Swim Centre. It was a day packed with races, spirit, and friendly competition. Students showcased their swimming skills, with the three houses Murray, Kiewa and Mitta competing for the House Trophy. 

The Iron Man/Woman event was a big success again with students enjoying the challenge of a 1km run followed by a 100m swim. Novelty events were also a hit with some staff joining in throughout the day to cool off and escape the heat. I always enjoy seeing the chaos of the novelty events, matched with smiles ear to ear.

This Swimming Carnival showcased the talent, enthusiasm, and sportsmanship of our students. Congratulations to all participants for their amazing performances, and a huge congratulations to Murray for claiming their 8th consecutive victory, seriously unbeatable in the pool!

Thanks to the teachers, staff, and volunteers whose assistance ensured the Carnival ran smoothly, and to the parents/carers for their ongoing support. I am already looking forward to next year’s Carnival and am eager to see if Mitta and Kiewa can challenge Murray’s winning streak!
