Barras Shield Upset!

Year 12 break Staff’s Seven-Year Winning Record in Thrilling Cricket Showdown!

The unthinkable has happened! The once invincible staff team, who retained the Barras Shield for seven long years, have finally been dethroned by Year 12 in a thrilling, sun-soaked battle at the VCG yesterday evening. Today, Year 12 were proudly celebrating, strutting around the College singing “I Don’t Like Cricket, I Love It” - a fitting victory anthem, many still wearing their lucky pink garb over their College uniform.

With the winning streak officially broken, the staff will no doubt be plotting their comeback for next year. Until then, Year 12s can bask in their well-earned victory, knowing they have achieved what no Year 12 cohort before them could: toppling the mighty staff.
